SURI are a cult stoner rock band from Jakarta, Indonesia that formed in 2008. Suri have a distinct yet traditional doom rock sound that incorporates stoner and sludge traits with lyrics typically involving the life, anger, self analyzing, mutual perspective in point of problem solving and opiate.

Name taken from indonesian decent language means "dying" and it represent their experience in musical world. They tried so hard to rectify their point of view of making music in a common way, lyric, tunes and theme. Their proclaim that "We Were gnashing our teeth but Were Dying."
